I’ve Tried Too Many Mascaras, Meet My Magical Three
I was six when I first met Mascara. We were in the bathroom: my sticky little fingers and Mom’s tube of L’Oreal’s Voluminous. Well, I thought, here goes nothing. Two curious coats later, I felt fabulous. A movie star in the making. How transformative this magical wand can be!
But lately, mascara reminds me of jeans. How both manage to suck us back into the never-ending, relentlessly sweaty search for something better. Price, packaging, drugstore, and designer origins don’t matter. There always seems to be a better option out there, right? Wrong.
Scroll down for my best kept secret.
Here it is: don't use one mascara; use three.
step 1. curl your lashes & coat them in the white primer
step 2. don’t wait for them to dry. open the light pink mascara and begin applying right away. less is not more.
step 3. apply a COUPLE (1 - 2) coats of monsieur big. wait a couple minutes and apply your lip liner in the meantime. before you dash out of the house, grab your eyelash curler once more. ta-da. eyes to kill. time for trouble.
